Terms And Conditions

Bookings

  • Booking can be made online or over the phone.
  • For bookings made online or at the captain’s discretion, credit card details may be required in to protect against no-shows or late passengers.
  • All trips will be approved by the captain on duty before they are made.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • We ask that you please reschedule or cancel at least 2 hours before the beginning of your appointment or you may be charged a cancellation fee of $130.00

If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment wait time charges will be applied. In the event that your trip is so late as to interfere with another client’s trip, we will charge you the cancelation fee and you will be required to rebook a new trip.
  • For trips lasting longer than one hour, we reserve the right to hold a deposit on your trip.
  • Deposits will be forfeit if a cancelation occurs within 12 hours of your reservation time.

Shared Trip Policy

  • Unless otherwise specified quicksilver reserves the right to share clients’ chartered trips on our public calendar
  • Please specify when your booking is made if you would like your trip to remain private
  • In general, we do not recommend publicizing or sharing trips when a charter client has a complex travel schedule or has connecting flights. If you specifically request that your trip be shared and you cannot make that trip, we will charge you for that trip regardless of whether you are on it or not.
  • Quicksilver reserves the right to sell seats on clients’ chartered trips at the rate specified under “single ride on a scheduled trip” heading in our fee schedule.
  • In certain circumstances, charter clients may be able to recoup some of the cost of their chartered trip by splitting the proceeds with Quicksilver after all expenses of the trip have been covered including additional crewing requirements due to increased vessel capacity.

Capacity

  • Quicksilver has a Certificate Of Inspection that allows us to carry 24 passengers. If at any time the captain feels the vessel is overweight or being made unseaworthy we reserve the right to ask passengers to disembark.
  • In the event that the boat is over capacity, we ask that the remaining passengers left behind get together and split a chartered trip. We will then come back for the remaining passengers at our earliest convenience.
  • With the exception of shared trips or private charters, all access to Quicksilver is on a first come first served basis.

School Trips

  • Unless otherwise noted all school trips are for ICS or visiting students and their designated chaperones and refs only. All other passengers must pay as “Ride Alongs.”
  • During Athletic events, priority is given to visiting students, refs, and chaperones.
  • In the event that the boat is over capacity during a school trip, we will make an additional trip. We will return for the remaining passengers at our earliest convenience, provided it doesn’t interfere with previously booked charters

Smoking, unruly/unsafe behavior, marijuana.

  • Quicksilver is a nonsmoking vessel
  • Quicksilver’s captains reserve the right to ask any passenger that may pose a danger to other passengers or the crew to disembark immediately upon getting to port.
  • Although Marijuana is legal in the state of Maine it is not legal on Quicksilver which is a federally inspected vessel. Please leave your marijuana ashore
